Enjoy some photographs taken on Sunday the 1st of July, 2012 from the VIP steam boat Côte-d’Azur.
After a two-week break in Lorient, the fleet is on the way to Galway for Leg 9.
Despite of a tough start Camper managed to win Leg 9. Groupama sailing team arrived second in Galway which means… no matter how they will sail the last In-port Race in Ireland… they won the Volvo Ocean Race 2011-2012! Congratulations to the French Franck Cammas and his teammates!

How can a photographer create without creations of others?
Paris, Centre Pompidou, Paris-Delhi-Bombay (Archives – Summer 2011)
The artist, Hema Upadhyay, recreated the Dharavi Slum of Bombay on two sides of a narrow corridor. This photograph plays with the lights and shows a detail the elaborated work.
A great family band helped me with the title of this post: thanks! But the title only. The content is, once again, related to the Volvo Ocean Race and its stop in Lorient, France.
The Alpha Jet of the Patrouille de France (French Acrobatic Patrol) performed an acrobatic demonstration to welcome the teams of the Volvo Ocean Race.

Le jour la prise de vue, la statue de Lyon XIV portait un sac rose en bandoulière. Par cette action de street marketing, la ville de Lyon présente un label pour développer la consommation responsable.
la cathédrale Notre Dame de Reims, France
And more later on I guess. I will not stay far away from this cathedral for ever!
The pictures presented below are not the best ones… but I love this cathedral and I need to share it!
La cathédrale de Reims fête ses 800 ans!
Rheims cathedral turned 800 years old!
Every evening this summer there is a great show on the cathedral. It helps you to imagine how colorful the cathedral looked like when it was first built and how they built it!
Whenever you have time, please try to spend a week end in Rheims in the summer 2011, you will not regret it!
Paris-Delhi-Bombay could stand for the destinations of my planned trip for the next months… but it is also the title of the Current exhibition in Centre Pompidou, Paris
Different artists, either French or Indian contributed to this exhibition. Their works of Art express what they think or what they perceive about India today.
My favorite piece is the one from Hema UPADHYAY: Think Left, Think Right, Think Low, Think Tight, 2010
It is a colorful representation of the largest slum of Mumbai called Dharavi. Have a look at the pictures and try to imagine a tight corridor. On both side of it, vertically and miniature, full of colors, a reproduction of the slum thanks to recycled materials. It is amazing to pay attention to the details like places of worship or electrical systems!
If you happen to be in Paris anytime from now until the 19th of September 2011, do not hesitate to visit the Centre Pompidou!
Keroman or the place where I discovered that Architecture is Art
