Last but not least!

Enjoy some photographs taken on Sunday the 1st of July, 2012 from the VIP steam boat Côte-d’Azur.

After a two-week break in Lorient, the fleet is on the way to Galway for Leg 9.

Despite of a tough start Camper managed to win Leg 9. Groupama sailing team arrived second in Galway which means… no matter how they will sail the last In-port Race in Ireland… they won the Volvo Ocean Race 2011-2012! Congratulations to the French Franck Cammas and his teammates!

How can a photographer create without creations of others?

The artist, Hema Upadhyay, recreated the Dharavi Slum of Bombay on two sides of a narrow corridor. This photograph plays with the lights and shows a detail the elaborated work.

Up in the sky

A great family band helped me with the title of this post: thanks! But the title only. The content is, once again, related to the Volvo Ocean Race and its stop in Lorient, France.

Abbaye Notre-Dame d’Orval

Orval Abbey, Villers-devant-Orval, Belgium

Founded as a Cistercian monastery, the abbey is well-known for its history and current spiritual life. Trappist Cistercian monks still welcome guests for short retreats.

The Abbaye Notre Dame d’Orval attracts also many tourists probably thanks to ist local production of Trappist Beer and typical cheese!

Weekly Photo Challenge: Today

Weekly Photo Challenge: Today

I have not been really committed to share photographs recently… I just discovered a challenge that will (hopefully) help me to upload photographs on a regular basis:

http://dailypost.wordpress.com/2012/06/01/weekly-photo-challenge-today/

So from now on, one photograph every week (at least): ENJOY!

Note:

I did not share many photographs recently… but it does not mean that I do not play with my camera! It is just laziness which prevents me from sitting in front of a computer and updating this blog!

This morning roses in the garden were smiling to me, reminding me of The Little Prince written by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry
